Junior Secondary School (JSS)

Welcome to the Junior Secondary section of Al-Arafatul Muqadasah Islamic Academy . Our Junior Secondary section builds on foundational Islamic values, providing a seamless transition from primary education. We nurture well-rounded students through a balanced curriculum that integrates academic excellence with strong moral and spiritual development. Our Secondary school is a combination of secular education, Qur'an memorization and Arabic/Islamic course classes. Our Junior School curriculum has been planned to provide a strong foundation for success for all our students through to their senior studies.

During their three years in the Junior School, students may take the following subjects as contained in the National Curriculum:

Yoruba Language
Islamic Studies

Nigerian History
Social and Citizenship Studies

Cultural and Creative Arts (CCA)

Assessment & Promotion
We follow the Nigerian National Policy on Education and our JSS 3 students are well-prepared for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Extra-Curricular Activities
Al arafatul Muqadasah Islamic Academy offers different kinds of extracurricular activities for its Junior and Senior schools in accordance with the students' age levels. These activities reinforce what is taught in the classroom and also give our students the experience to acquire knowledge about various aspects of life. These include; News Letter/Press Club, Quiz and Debate Events, Academic Fair, Science Fair, Field Trips, MSS Day/Quranic Competition/Weekly Usroh, Seminar Programme, Sporting Activities.

- Entrance Assessment: successful completion of an oral interview and entrance examination.

Senior Secondary School (sss)

Welcome to the Senior Secondary section of Al-Arafatul Muqadasah Islamic Academy. Our Secondary school is a combination of secular education, Qur'an memorization and Arabic/Islamic course classes. We are committed to producing well-rounded, God-conscious graduates who are academically excellent, morally upright, and prepared for tertiary education and life beyond.
Our school is uniquely positioned to cater for the needs of young adults, blending the Nigerian National Curriculum with robust Islamic Tarbiyah (upbringing).

Our Curriculum
We offer a comprehensive curriculum tailored to prepare students for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by WAEC and NECO, as well as Nabteb and Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate in Education (SAISSCE).

The students focus on one of the three streams of study; Science, Business or Arts. All students study English Language, General Mathematics, Civic Education and Trade Subjects.
